Songs about Creation

I Am the Word That Cuts the Dark

I Am the Word That Cuts the Dark a song of creation from a perspective of God's view. Using scripture to create the rustic authentic voice of God was a challenge. I was fearful of offending someone. The audacity but hear me.... When God speaks to me what I hear is that ancient country rustic voice that just echos on its own. I hope you enjoy this. My heart is pure on the intent of trying to create music this way. If offended my inbox is open I am not above rebuke.
Verse 1 (Gen 1:1–3)

Before the deep had any order,
darkness waited, still and wide.
I hovered over restless waters,
then I spoke and light arrived.

Hook

I am the Word that cuts the dark,
the first command, the living spark.

Verse 2 (Gen 1:6–10)

I split the waters, set the sky,
told the seas where they would stay.
I pulled the land from what was hidden,
drew the lines the waves obey.

Hook

I am the Word that cuts the dark,
I call it good I mark the start.

Chorus (Gen 1 refrain)

I saw the world, and it was good,
every place and living thing.
Nothing empty, nothing wasted,
all creation answering.
By My voice the earth found order,
by My will the days were true.
I am present in creation.
I am still at work in you.

Verse 3 (Gen 1:26–27)

I formed you in My image,
set you in the world to tend.
I gave you rule without oppression,
work that walks with Me as friend.

Bridge (Gen 2:2–3, 7)

I rested not from weakness,
but to teach your soul to stay.
I formed you from the dust of earth,
then gave you life My way.

Final Chorus (Gen 2:18–25)

I said it’s not good to be alone,
so I shaped you side by side.
Bone of bone and flesh of flesh,
no fear, no shame to hide.
This is how the world was meant to stand,
held together by My hand.

Outro

What I began in the beginning
is not finished.
I remain.

The Way I Meant It

Often we forget who we are created to be and who we are don't always align. The enemy uses this to keep us from purpose. If you don't know this is what God has spoken over us.

The Way I Meant It
Verse 1

I made you in My image, that was always the plan
I shaped you with purpose before you could stand
I called you good when the world was still new
Before you ever had something to prove
I gave you the garden, the sky, and the ground
Not to rule with your fists, just to walk around
Side by side, slow and free
That’s the way I meant it to be

Chorus

I’m still right here, don’t you forget
I haven’t changed, and I’m not done yet
What I began, I’ll see it through
I meant you for life, not fear or regret
I’m still right here, even now
In the waiting, in the how
I’m the same God I’ve always been
And I still mean it, just like then

Verse 2

When you hid your face, I still said your name
When you learned shame, I didn’t turn away
I covered your fear, I stayed close by
Even when the answers weren’t clear why
I chose a people, not strong or proud
Just willing hearts in a broken crowd
I kept My word when it got hard
That’s just who I am

Chorus

I’m still right here, don’t you forget
I haven’t changed, and I’m not done yet
What I began, I’ll see it through
I meant you for love, not constant regret
I’m still right here, even now
In the waiting, in the how
I’m the same God I’ve always been
And I still mean it, just like then

Verse 3

I gave you My ways so you could live
Not to cage your heart, just help you forgive
When your love ran cold, I called you home
Said “Come back to Me, you’re not alone”
Even when you chased what couldn’t stay
I never once walked away
I was closer than your fear
I was always near

Bridge

When you couldn’t rise, I came down low
Put on your skin so you’d know
I carried the weight, I paid it all
Put the final word on the fall
I didn’t say “try harder now”
I said “it’s finished,” I meant it then, I mean it now

Final Chorus

I’m still right here, don’t you forget
I haven’t changed, and I’m not done yet
I called you free, not almost saved
Not barely loved, not halfway claimed
I’m still right here, even now
In the waiting, in the how
I’m the same God I’ve always been
And I still mean it, just like then

Outro

I am your God
You are My people
You always were

The Garden of Your Hands

In the Garden of Your Hands
Verse 1

Morning rose on untouched ground,
light danced soft where peace was found.
A garden breathed beneath His care,
and every leaf said, “He is there.”
We walked in wonder, unafraid,
in rhythms only heaven made.

✨ Floating Hook — (after V1)

In Your hands, this world began…
And in Your hands, You’re making me again.

Chorus

Here in the garden of Your hands,
I learn to walk where mercy stands.
No fear can steal what You restore —
You breathe me whole forevermore.
In quiet grace my heart expands,
Safe in the garden of Your hands.

Verse 2

Rivers wandered where You led,
hope grew green where Your light spread.
The ground was soft beneath our feet,
each step a hymn, each breeze a beat.
Your presence wrapped the world in peace,
and every fear found sweet release.

✨ Floating Hook — (after V2)

In Your hands, this world began…
And in Your hands, You’re making me again.

Chorus

Here in the garden of Your hands,
I learn to walk where mercy stands.
No fear can steal what You restore —
You breathe me whole forevermore.
In quiet grace my heart expands,
Safe in the garden of Your hands.

Verse 3

And when the shadows brushed the day,
Your voice still led the gentle way.
You taught my heart to trust Your choice,
to answer with a quiet voice.
For even when the light grows thin,
Your faithfulness still pulls me in.

Final Chorus (Lifted)

Here in the garden of Your hands,
You shape my heart with patient plans.
Not fear nor night can dim Your grace —
Your breath still fills this sacred place.
In every dawn my soul will stand
Safe in the garden of Your hands.

Tag (optional)
In Your hands… in Your hands…
You’re making me again.

Your Word Moves First

Your Word Moves First
[Verse 1]

The deep was wide and waiting,
a cradle for His breath.
He spoke into the waters,
and life broke through the depths.
Scaled wonders rose in rivers,
bright colors flashed like fire
every beating fin and rhythm
was born of His desire.

[Hook ]
Your word moves first,
and the waters respond.
Light finds its way
where the dark had gone.
Nothing You speak
returns unheard.
The deep remembers
the sound of Your word.

[Verse 2 ]

Then the wind caught heaven’s whisper,
and the sky learned how to sing.
Feathers shimmered in the sunrise,
wings unfolding on the wind.
From tiny sparrow trembling
to the eagle bold and free,
every soaring breath of glory
echoed His majesty.

[Chorus]

Let the waters tell Your wonders,
let the heavens praise Your love.
Every creature swimming, flying
is a story from above.
You fill the world with beauty,
You fill the sky with song
and the God who shaped creation
is the One who makes me strong.

[Hook ]

Your word moves first,
and the waters respond.
Light finds its way
where the dark had gone.
Nothing You speak
returns unheard.
The deep remembers
the sound of Your word.

[Bridge]

If You care for every sparrow,
if You watch the ocean’s tide,
how much more Your eyes are on me,
never turning from my side.
Teach my heart to trust Your goodness,
teach my feet to trust Your way
for the God who fills the oceans
walks with me each day.

[Final Chorus ]

Let creation be my teacher,
let Your faithfulness be known.
If You gave the wings their freedom,
You won’t leave my heart alone.
In the rising and the resting,
in the currents of my night
You are still the God who whispers,
“You were made for My delight.”

[Final Hook]

Your word moves first…
and I respond.
Light finds its way…
and the dark is gone.

Held in the Divide

Held in the Divide- Eve's voice on creation

Spoken Intro

Before the rivers had a course,
before the clouds knew where to gather,
the world was only waters, deep and unbound.
Then God drew a line with His voice…
and the chaos learned its place.

Verse 1

The waters rose in endless roar,
no sky, no earth, no open door.
But then You spoke, and peace came near,
a quiet line the deep could hear.
You stretched the heavens wide and bright,
and carved a boundary into night.

✨ New Hook (Replacement)

You spoke the line,
and space was made.
The deep grew still,
the dark obeyed.
Where You divide,
You also keep.
I stand in peace
between the deep.

Chorus

Between the waters,
You made space for hope to live.
You split the shadows
with a grace only You can give.
Where chaos tried to swallow me,
Your voice became my shield.
Between the waters,
Your presence was revealed.

Verse 2

You lifted waters to the heights,
left some below for ancient nights.
And in that space You placed the sky,
a thin place where our prayers fly.
Heaven’s touch on earthly ground,
in that divide, Your love is found.

✨ Hook (Refrain)

You spoke the line,
and space was made.
The deep grew still,
the dark obeyed.
Your mercy stands
where fear once crept.
I stand secure
in what You kept.

Chorus

Between the waters,
You made space for hope to live.
You split the shadows
with a grace only You can give.
Where chaos tried to swallow me,
Your voice became my shield.
Between the waters,
Your presence was revealed.

Verse 3

You named the heavens by Your word,
a truth that time has never blurred.
And still today You part the sea,
making room where I can be.
Every divide You speak is true—
You always make a way through.

✨ Final Hook (Soft / Outro)

You spoke the line…
and I remain.
Held in the space
You sustain.

Final Chorus

Between the waters,
You made space for hope to live.
You split the shadows
with a grace only You can give.
When chaos tries to swallow me,
Your voice remains my shield.
Between the waters,
Your presence is revealed.

You Spoke the Waters Wide

Verse 1

The deep was quiet, the dark was still,
No voice had stirred, no life, no will.
Then Your whisper split the night,
A breath became the firstborn light.
Waters trembled at Your call,
The heavens rose, the oceans sprawled.
Creation leaned to hear You speak,
And order formed where chaos ceased.

Hook

I will stand where You move
I will stand where You move
Where Your Spirit leads
That’s where I’ll be

Verse 2

You traced the borders of the sea,
Said, “Come this far, no farther be.”
Mountains lifted, rivers ran,
Each one held by Your steady hand.
You lit the sky with sun and flame,
Marked the seasons, named our days.
Every rhythm, every tide
Moves in step with what You guide.

Hook

I will stand where You move
I will stand where You move
Where Your Spirit leads
That’s where I’ll be

Verse 3

You set our feet on living ground,
Showed us where Your truth is found.
In every creature, near and wide,
Your word still orders life inside.
You placed Your image in our chest,
A sacred mark, a holy trust.
You made our dust a place to stand,
A formed creation in Your hand.

Hook

I will stand where You move
I will stand where You move
Where Your Spirit leads
That’s where I’ll be

Chorus

When You spoke the waters wide,
The world awakened, opened eyes.
From dust to breath, from dark to light,
Your word still breaks the longest night.
You’re the voice that calls the dawn,
The One who holds creation strong.
Every tide and every sea
Still moves according to decree.

Final Hook (layered, restrained)

I will stand where You move
I will stand where You move
I will stand where You move
Where Your Spirit leads
That’s where I’ll be

Let it be light in me,
Let it be truth I see.
Your word still speaks,
Your breath still breathes—
Let it be light in me.

---

Verse 1 — The Lights Were Set to Watch

Before the world knew time or days,
You carved the dark with gentle ways.
You hung the sun where morning starts,
You set the moon to calm our hearts.
You pulled the night into its place,
You stitched the sky with threads of grace.
And every star You placed above
still sings the cadence of Your love.

---

Pre-Chorus (Hook Refrain – layered, building)

Let it be light in me (light in me),
Let it be truth I see (truth I see).
Your rhythms shape my soul again—
teach me how the dawn begins.

---

Chorus — Country-Soul Anthem Lift

You made the heavens speak in signs,
the rising sun, the shifting lines.
You wrote the seasons in the sky,
the winter’s rest, the summer’s cry.
You ordered time so we could know
when seeds must fall, when winds must blow.
So mark my heart with what You speak—
let every shadow turn to peace.

---

Hook (Chorus Hybrid – bigger, layered harmonies)

Let it be light in me,
Let it be truth I see.
In every season, night or dawn,
Your breath is where the world belongs.
Let it be light in me…
Let it be light in me.

---

Verse 2 — The Purpose in the Rhythm

You taught the earth how days unfold,
You wrote the future long foretold.
Every sunrise holds a tune,
every sunset whispers truth.
The sky became a temple dome,
a compass pointing us toward home.
And even now Your order stands—
a steady pulse in trembling hands.

---

Pre-Chorus (Hook Refrain – harmonic echo)

Let it be light in me (light in me),
Let it be truth I see (truth I see).
Your cycles keep my spirit strong—
Your breath has been my rhythm long.

---

Chorus — Full Anthem Lift

You made the heavens speak in signs,
the rising sun, the shifting lines.
You wrote the seasons in the sky,
the winter’s rest, the summer’s cry.
You ordered time so I could learn
what to release and what to burn.
So mark my heart with what You speak—
let every shadow turn to peace.

---

Bridge — Spoken / Sung Blend (for the full Breath effect)

The day You made, I walk within.
The night You shaped, I breathe again.
The order of Your world is mine—
Your breath is where my pulse aligns.
Teach me the wisdom of the skies—
to live in rhythm, not disguise.

---

Final Hook (Anthem End – stacked vocals)

Let it be light in me…
(Let it be light in me…)
Let it be truth I see…
(Let it be truth I see…)
Your word spoke worlds, Your breath made dawn—
so speak again…
till fear is gone.

Let it be light in me.
Let it be light in me.
Let it be light… in me.

Made to Walk Beside

Made to Walk Beside- Before the broken trust, before the world shook,God wrote companionship into the dust. This song remembers the momentHe shaped someone meant to walk beside.

Verse 1

You looked at man in the quiet light,
And said it wasn’t good alone.
You shaped a help unlike another—
Bone of bone and flesh of bone.
You placed Your image in their union,
Two reflections in one design,
A harmony You breathed between them,
A covenant before its time.

Hook A

In the garden where Your love abides,
You gave him one made to walk beside,
Two hearts joined where trust resides—
In the garden where Your love abides.

Verse 2

She woke beneath the whisper of heaven,
Opened her eyes to Eden’s grace.
He saw the one who stood beside him,
And joy lit up the holy place.
No striving there, no words of burden,
Just peace in how they came to be—
Two souls called to carry blessing,
Bearing Your image equally.

Hook B

In the garden where Your love abides,
You formed her strong with holy pride,
You wrote their story side by side—
In the garden where Your love abides.

Verse 3

Before the pain, before the rupture,
Before the serpent’s twisted lie,
You wrote unity in their footsteps,
You taught their hearts to testify.
Your goodness held them in their calling,
Your presence steady as the dawn—
A shared design, a sacred pairing,
Before trust broke and shadows spawned.

Hook C

In the garden where Your love abides,
You made their spirits unified,
You placed Your likeness deep inside—
In the garden where Your love abides.

Chorus

You made us for communion,
For love that carries light.
For walking in Your presence,
For choosing what is right.
For unity that mirrors
Your heart in every stride—
You made us in Your image,
To walk here side by side.
You made us for communion,
For love that carries light.
For walking in Your presence,
For choosing what is right.
For unity that mirrors
Your heart in every stride—
You made us in Your image,
To walk here side by side.
You made us for communion,
For love that carries light.
For walking in Your presence,
For choosing what is right.
For unity that mirrors
Your heart in every stride—
You made us in Your image,
To walk here side by side.
Outro

And in the garden still,
Your love abides.

My Children

My Children- If Eve could speak ages of wisdom.

Verse 1
Come closer, my children,
I have seen the dust and the dawn.
I remember His fingers,
the way He shaped us with song.
Not hurried, not careless,
not borrowed, not small.
You were spoken with purpose
before you could fall.
I watched Him breathe life
where the earth was still new,
and every heartbeat since
has been known to Him too.
Pre Chorus
Do not measure your worth
by the weight of your scars.
He named you before
you learned fear or shame.
Chorus
You are fearfully, wonderfully made
I saw it with my own eyes
His image in you has not faded
not broken, not lost in the lies
You are His workmanship,
His poem still in the making
From the first breath He gave you
you were never mistaken.
Verse 2
I have heard the world bargain,
trade souls for applause,
call dust into diamonds
and diamonds into flaws.
But He calls you His own,
by a name only He knows,
carved deeper than failure,
older than your wounds.
If He counts every hair
then He counts every tear,
you are not overlooked,
you have always been here.
Pre Chorus
You were bought with a price
love paid in full
Not because you were worthy
but because He is good.
Chorus
You are fearfully, wonderfully made
I saw it with my own eyes
His image in you has not faded
not broken, not lost in the lies
You are His workmanship,
His poem still in the making
From the first breath He gave you
you were never mistaken.
Bridge
I named my sons in sorrow,
I named my sons in hope,
I learned too late the lie
that worth must be earned or proved.
Hear me now, my children,
do not repeat my fall
You are chosen, you are royal,
you are treasured beyond it all.
Before you could reach for Him
He had already reached for you.
Chorus (Lift)
You are fearfully, wonderfully made
heaven agrees with your name
Created for good works prepared
before you ever knew pain
A holy people, set apart,
called out of the night into light
You belong to Him forever
and that makes your life priceless.
Outro
Remember this when you forget,
when the mirror lies again
You are not the dust you wear
you are the breath within.
I was there at the beginning,
and I will tell you till the end
Your worth was never in the world
It has always been in Him.

Hush, Hush

Hush Hush- Often holding our newborn we dream of a life they would love, cherish and enjoy. One filled with joy, peace and happiness. The truth is this is only achieved in one way. Salvation in Jesus. I imagine the lament Eve sung at the funeral of one child while saying a permanant goodbye to another. This song is that early lulliby combined with her tears. Granted this wasn't during creation I will be adding more of those above as I finalize. I hope you enjoy. This song is NOT in scripture. It is my heart trying to line with EVE

{Verse 1}
Sleep now, my baby
The light’s still awake
I’m right here beside you
You don’t have to be brave
Your breath is so steady
Your fingers are warm
The world can wait
You’re safe in my arms

{Chorus}
Hush now, hush now
I’ve got you, sweet one.
Nothing you need to be
Nothing you’ve done
Hush now, hush now
Let your eyes close slow
I’m here, I’m here
That’s all you need to know

{Verse 2}
Sleep used to come easy
Your hands in my hair
Now the night keeps asking
Where did we lose you in there
I still see the baby
I still hear that tune
But something has entered
That I never sang to you

{Chorus}
Hush now, hush now
I still call you mine
Nothing you’ve broken
Outruns this love of mine
Hush now, hush now
Even here, even now
I’m still your mother
I don’t forget how

{ Chorus}
Hush now, hush now
I still speak your name
I won’t let the darkness
Rewrite where you came
Hush now, hush now
Wherever you roam
There was a beginning
That called you home

{Bridge}
I heard God say
I breathed you both
Before you knew fear
I called you Mine
Before the chaos came
To the mother who sings
And the ones who run away
I am still God
I can stop all the pain
Hush Now Hush now
I'm always the one
that calls you home

{Final Chorus}
Hush now, hush now
I still speak your name
I won’t let the darkness
Rewrite where you came
Hush now, hush now
Wherever you roam
There was a beginning
That called you home

Come Out from Among Them

Come Out from Among Them- In this song "Momma Eve" is calling us out of the world. Over the many years traditions have taken hold and we never asked why we did it in the beginning. Often this single aspect is why generational curses transfer. We learn, we change, we break. We can't break what we are comfortable in.

"Intro Hook Spoken"

Light came first, before the world began,
Truth stood tall long before the lies of man.
I’m done with the darkness dressed up like the light
I’m returning to the truth You spoke on Day One…
Day One…
Oh, I’m coming back to the truth of Day One.

🎶 VERSE 1

I’ve been walking down a borrowed road,
holding things I never chose.
Traditions dressed in Sunday clothes
that never fed my weary soul.

But I heard the Spirit whisper low,
“Daughter, it’s time to come back home.
Step out of lights the world has shown,
and stand inside the truth I’ve known.”

🌾 CHORUS

Come out from among them,
step into My light.
Lay down the customs
that don’t belong to Christ.
Let go of the shadows
that masquerade as bright
There’s freedom in the old ways,
and the ancient paths are life.

🎶 VERSE 2

There’s a stirring deep inside of me,
a holy call to purity.
To drop what culture handed me
and bow to truth on bended knee.

I don’t need a man-made tale
to feel the wonder of Your hand.
I’m turning from the counterfeit,
back to the rhythms You began.

🌾 CHORUS

Come out from among them,
step into My light.
Lay down the customs
that don’t belong to Christ.
Let go of the shadows
that masquerade as bright
There’s freedom in the old ways,
and the ancient paths are life.

🎶 VERSE 3

The world wraps up its stories tight,
sells a truth that isn’t right.
But I’m done mixing darkness
with the holy and the bright.

No more borrowed celebrations,
no more customs dressed as Christ
I’m walking out of imitation
and into Your ancient light.

🌾 CHORUS

Come out from among them,
step into My light.
Lay down the customs
that don’t belong to Christ.
Let go of the shadows
that masquerade as bright
There’s freedom in the old ways,
and the ancient paths are life.

CHORUS

Come out from among them,
step into My light.
Lay down the customs
that don’t belong to Christ.
Let go of the shadows
that masquerade as bright
There’s freedom in the old ways,
and the ancient paths are life.

Come out from among them,
step into My light.
I’m done with the customs
that counterfeit the Christ.
I’m walking the old roads
that lead my heart aright
There’s freedom in the old ways,
and the ancient paths are life.

Made To Stand Tall

Made To Stand Tall is got that old soul wisdom vibe still that rustic backdrop. I hope you enjoy. Meet King David.

Verse 1
Some days I feel the pressure,
Like the world is watching me.
Every voice got an opinion
On who I’m supposed to be.
But You remind me I was crafted
By the hands that don’t make mistakes
So, I breathe in truth and whisper,
“I’m enough. I’m not afraid.”

And even when the doubt comes creeping in,
You rise inside me stronger than the wind.

Chorus
I was made
Made to stand tall.
Not to shrink back,
Not to crumble at all.
Your strength in my chest,
Your fire in my call
Yeah, I was made,
Made to stand tall.

Hook
Rise up… rise up…
I’m walking like a miracle.
Rise up… rise up…
Your love makes me unshakable.

Verse 2
I’m learning that the brave ones
Aren’t the ones who never fall
They’re the ones who keep on moving
When their courage feels too small.
So, I’ll choose the path of steady,
Choose the truth that breaks the lie
You didn’t build me for the shadows,
You made me shine beneath the sky.

And even when the doubt comes creeping in,
You rise inside me stronger than the wind.

Chorus
I was made
Made to stand tall.
Not to shrink back,
Not to crumble at all.
Your strength in my chest,
Your fire in my call
Yeah, I was made,
Made to stand tall.

Verse 3
You lift my chin when I look down,
Turn shaky steps to solid ground.
When fear tries hard to take me out,
Your steady love shakes off my doubt.
I’m not alone, You’re with me now.
This is my song, this is my vow:

Final Chorus
I was made
Made to stand tall.
Not to shrink back,
Not to crumble at all.
Your strength in my chest,
Your fire in my call
Yeah, I was made,
Made to stand tall.

I was made
Made to stand tall.
Not to shrink back,
Not to crumble at all.
Your truth in my steps,
Your voice when I stall
Yeah, I was made,
Made to stand tall.

Rise up… rise up…
I’m stronger than I ever knew.
Rise up… rise up…
’Cause You stand tall in me too.
