Well hello, my name is Jennifer, and I’m so glad you’ve stopped by to visit my corner of the internet!

    I’m a wife to my husband Don, and together we’ve been blessed with a beautifully blended family of six kids and quite a few grandkids. Our story isn’t the picture-perfect, “traditional” path of marriage, kids, and quiet routines. Instead, it’s a winding road of second chances, messy chapters, and God’s redeeming grace.

    Don is a proud Veteran who happens to be 18 years older than me and had three children before we ever met. His service in the military may have been before me but every step of the fight with the VA has been an adventure of its own.

    I, on the other hand, had already walked through marriages, divorces, and seasons of deep brokenness. My story includes kids of my own that I brought to the table, addiction, DHS, and a whole lot of scars I once thought disqualified me.

    Here’s the truth: God never wastes a story. Even in my worst moments, He was weaving redemption. Today, I adore God and love digging deep into His's Word. In fact, I’m in the middle of editing several Bible studies I’ve written and can’t wait to share them with you.

  Around here, you’ll read mostly about Jesus and a focus on God's word, occasionally I will share about our blended family chaos, homesteading adventures, rehabbing an old house, life in our church community, and the little everyday lessons God teaches along the way.

    Often Scripture is best learned by music. It irritates me at the quality of options for adult in song that will bring Scripture to mind in times of trial. So, on a lot of the post (today is 11/19/25 for reference) over the past few days have been songs created by me. Now obviously I didn't do the actual vocals or even play all the instruments, but the work behind it is mine, the words are structured around parameters I give AI. Much like the text you are reading now. 

    What I am getting at is the heart of everything you see is rooted in years of work, dedication to studying the Word of God, my own personal convictions of how we should live and more. It is run through AI as a way to fix grammar and lyrically speaking helping me break outside the boundaries of my own vocabulary to get the full message I want to give. (AKA it translates my English so the avg person can follow.) I tend to be long winded and go down rabbit holes, and this keeps me centered and focused. 

    This is more than just a site. It’s a journey of faith, family, and finding beauty in the unexpected. I hope you’ll stick around, laugh with me, learn with me, and maybe even share your own story too.
